Simply Done 1

This is the first in a series of resources to help students get started on their own work, both in the studio and in the written work.

Students need to understand the importance of imagination and creativity in the dance studio, but when writing then that isn’t necessary.

The results of their creativity in their own choreography depends on a wide range of skills and dance elements. The more they use well, the more marks they will get. Development is so important. They must learn to think outside of the box.

However, on the written paper, speed is of the essence and the trick is to answer the question. It is like playing a game. They know they will be asked for a dance idea, perhaps a motif and development.
